General Scenery Features

  • custom-designed objects for most buildings on the airfields
  • full night lighting
  • static aircraft and ground vehicles around the airfields

Compatibility

  • Users of any earlier versions of Scotflight products (including the Scotflight RAF Collection) should un-install all of these before installing V3.1.
  • Scotflight for FSX V3.1 is fully compatible with Treescapes.
  • Scotflight for FSX V3.1 is fully compatible with Prepar3D (all versions up to V3).

Note: for the trees within the photoscenery areas to appear at their best, it is recommended by the FSX SDK that the following line is added under the [TERRAIN] heading in your FSX.CFG file using a text editor:
IMAGE_PIXELS_FOR_AUTOGEN_POLYGONS=2048
The location of the FSX.CFG depends on your operating system and set-up; in Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8, it is typically in:
C:\users\{your name}\Appdata\Roaming\Microsft\FSX
If this change has an adverse effect on your frame rates, the number can be reduced, but it is recommended that it does not go below 16.

Installer

  • Easy-to-use installer autodetects correct Flight Simulator location, no matter where installed
  • Allows install folder to be specified during install
  • Automatically configures Scenery Library
  • Integrates into Windows Add/Remove Programs
  • All changes made by installer are fully documented
  • Uninstaller is included to remove all components (except common libraries) if required
