General Discussion / Re: Web Site Closing

Hi Tony

Sorry not to pick up your post earlier but have been away from home.
Many thanks for updating us on your website and the situation with Horizon.  This may be good news for anyone still trying to get their hands on products for Scotland.
Also many thanks for all you have contributed to Scotflight over the years and also to the wider flightsim community.

Best wishes
Iain

General Discussion / Web Site Closing
« Last post by TonyM on August 30, 2018, 09:12:12 am »
Guys,
For information I have run my own site, www.arm-computers.co.uk as a free area covering my own home made scenery and as a host for numerous others for many years. The site also covers all the patches/updates for the original Horizon Photo Scenery for the UK, both FS9 and FSX, along with patches for the Earth Simulations releases.

As my contract with the Hosting company is due to expire in October 2018 and with increased costs associated with having an upgrade to 'HTTPS' standards I have decided to close the site.

I have been in touch with Paul Chaney who has reactivated www/horizonsimulations.com and is now selling all the photo scenery for FS9/FSX/P3D as direct downloads. Paul will also be making the patches available where needed.

I will look to update my other works over time to full P3D standards and post them on Flightsim and Avsim.

Regards,

Tony

Hi

I don't believe this is connected to Scotflight Libraries,  more a poor attempt to add longer grass to the runway.  Will try to do better in an update,  sometime soon.

Well, I found another "grass" problem. This is Agnus Gliding Field/XANG. This way it looks bad.
The scenery is in "Scotflight for Orbx Airports".
I don't know if this is caused by the new Scotflight Library?

Hi Dieter

Thanks for the feedback.
Indeed there is a bit of a mix up in the latest Libraries texture concerning the texture for grass.
I have attached a zip with the correct version of the texture required.   This goes in the ScotflightLibraries texture folder and overwrites the current version.  Hopefully things should look a bit better after this change.

Dear Scotflight Team,

I'm using all your excellent freeware Scotflight software combined with Orbx SCO.
After loading your latest Scotflight Libraries V5.01 I have following problem:

At XCUL/Culbokie (which is in Scotflight for Orbx Vol.5 for Prepar3D/FSX) some objects in the grass look weird. This is in FSX and P3D v4 version.
- see attached screenshot

Could you please take a look into this problem.

Regards
Dieter

I recently had a look at DCS.

Has anyone had any experience with this stuff, and is there a way to use the "Horizon" Scenery in it?
