Airports and Landmarks Vol 4
« on: October 09, 2013, 08:03:11 am »
Sorry if this has been answered but I've not been here in a while.
I've just bought GenX  Scotland central and am looking for the airports and landmarks for that area.
I see from the products page this will be available soon. Any idea when this will be?
I already have Scotland south GenX and Scotflight airports and landmarks for that area.
Thank you.

Hi

We are just completing final testing of installer for Vol4 and this product should,  hopefully,  be available within the next couple of days.
I should point out that Vol4 includes airfields for Central and North GenX volumes.  The reason for this is the relatively small number of airfields in each area.  Is this product suitable for your purposes?

Thank you for your quick reply.
I appreciate there is not enough airfields/landmarks for just the central area but I'm sure it will be well worth it. I may later buy Scotland north anyway.
Depending on what is included and how much will determine if the product is suitable for my purpose  ;)

The Oban airport (EGEO) may well be enough to pursuede me  (I assume/hope that will be included?  :))

Hi

I have attached the Product Description Doc that comes with the product from which you will see that Oban Airport is included and looks something like this:-

Or our version of Dundee Airport:-

Just installed this - great stuff. I do have a couple of missing things at the moment. Oban Ferry Port ( the ships are there) and the Coran Ferry is also missing. I haven't been up the East coast yet  ;)

Hi

Many thanks for your feedback.

We may have jumped the gun with Oban Ferry Terminal,  however we will be looking to add further small updates to our products with photo compatibility, so we can get that right at some time in the future.

Thank you Iain. I assume this also applies to the Coran Ferry.
I'm quite happy to wait for your further updates.

Hi

I'll pass this on to my co-designer Iain Murray as he is the 'ferry' man.
You mentioned seeing other ferries and all the routes are set up in the same bgl,  so the other thing would be if you don't have the appropriate ferry model installed.
Iain,  hopefully, will now take this up.

Hi,

It's a funny of FSX that the ferries do not always show - the only way I've found to get them to appear is to speed up to 8x (which turns the traffic off) then return back to normal speed (this forces FSX to reload the traffic).

Try that, and any missing ferries should re-appear ... but they may disappear again without warning!

Regards,

Iain M.

LOL, at that speed Iain, I'd be in Fort William before the ferry left Ardnamurchan  ;D and I'm only flying a twotter!
I'll give that a try, but I have seen all (I think) the other ferries etc. even the Waverley; spotted from 2000'  8)
